Annual Lanka Festival of Music, Dance, and Speech

Every year, students from Cadenza Music Academy participate in the prestigious Annual Lanka Festival of Music, Dance, and Speech.

This festival, established in 1998, is the first in Sri Lanka to be affiliated with the British and International Federation of Festivals for Music, Dance, and Speech, UK.

It is the largest and longest-running annual performing arts festival in Sri Lanka, open to performers of all ages.

Wide Reach and Inclusivity

The festival is held annually across over 40 centres throughout Sri Lanka, providing a platform for performers from all regions. This widespread reach ensures that a diverse range of talents can participate and showcase their skills.

Unlocking Unlimited Music Potential

Professional Adjudication

Participants receive certificates of achievement (ranging from outstanding to participation) and constructive appraisals from professional specialist adjudicators from the British and International Federation of Festivals, UK with valuable feedback.

Awards and Recognition

Competitors get the opportunity to win medals (gold, silver, bronze) and trophies at the All-Island finals held in Colombo. This recognition not only boosts their confidence but also encourages them to strive for excellence in their performances.

Achievement Highlights

In 2023, Cadenza Music Academy sent 15 students to the annual competition, and they achieved remarkable success, winning 13 Gold Medals, 2 Silver Medals, 3 All-Island Winner awards, 4 All-Island Finalist awards, and 1 Special award for Best Solo Performance 7 years.

In 2024, with 46 candidates, our students earned 42 Gold Medals, 4 Silver Medals, 10 All-Island Winner awards, 11 All-Island Finalist awards, and Venu received 3 special awards for the Highest Number of All-Island Awards won by a Teacher for Piano, Highest Number of Entries presented by a Teacher at a Centre and Highest Number of Gold Medals won by a Teacher at a Centre.
